Welcome to the website of the Drylaw and Telford Community Gardens Project.

The Community Gardens project was launched in October 2009 after £103, 441 funding was awarded from the Scottish Governments Climate Challenge Fund. The purpose of this funding is to develop seven Community Gardens within the Drylaw Neighbourhood area. These gardens are used by local people for the purpose of growing Fruit and Vegetables which local people can then use.

As well as creating the Community Gardens we will be delivering a variety of outdoor cooking classes within the Gardens, this allows local people to learn what can be created using the fruit and vegetables that we will be growing locally.

The purpose of our project is to raise awareness and educate people on the effects of Climate Change, our key partner in this project ‘The North Edinburgh Trust’ will be delivering a variety of awareness raising workshops that local people can get directly involved in. To find out more about these workshops and how you can get involved please visit the Forthcoming Events page of our website.
